Maxx Academy is a leading tuition college located in the heart of Chatswood, North Shore, NSW. We provide weekly and holiday courses in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Biology tailored for students of all levels, from those who want to catch up on course material to those hoping for state ranks and perfect ATARs.
Our courses are presented by our qualified teachers and past HSC state-rankers who know how to succeed. More importantly, our presenters have many years of tutoring experience and have perfected the art of teaching. In particular, we know the importance of exam and study techniques in achieving top ranks.
Modern Facilities
Our centre provides large, modern, air-conditioned and well-equipped classrooms with big whiteboards and projectors to enhance students’ active learning. In addition, an open area for students is provided to facilitate academic learning and resting. A renovation at Maxx Academy didn’t just modernize the facilities – it modernized the learning environment.

Cheryl Barnett
Head of EnglishEX James Ruse Agricultural High School Teacher | HSC Marker | B.Ed.
Cheryl Barnett has over 20 years experiences of teaching English at selective schools. She also is a private tutor of English for Senior High School students for more than 10 years.
Piv Huot
Head of MathsNESA ST 1 | HSC Senior Marker | HSC Assistant Supervisor of Marking | B.Sc., Dip. Ed., M.Bus.
Piv has over 30 years experiences of teaching Maths from Year 7 to Year 12 including Maths Extension 2.
Larry Mounser
Head of PhysicsUniversity of Sydney Lecturer | B.Sc., Dip. Ed., M.A.
Larry was granted an ST 1 status due to outstanding HSC results. Larry taught Physics at Taylors College for more than ten years, and was Visiting Associate Lecturer in Media, in the Study Abroad Department, UNSW, for almost 20 years.
